RECLASSIC BY SKAGERAK
- PASS IT ON
Life is an dynamic process, and nowadays we change surroundings and settings more than ever. Families take form, grow bigger, split up and merge again in new constellations. Youngsters move away from home, couples move abroad for new opportunities and families return to their hometowns. Some leave their house and garden for a newly built apartment with a balcony downtown, while others do the opposite and ditch the city life for more open skies and green surroundings.
Under these conditions, even if the quality and function remain impeccable – the fact is that furniture and designs we once had dear, often become unneeded or insufficient at some point in our lives.
By establishing Reclassic – a new circular platform for recycling long-lasting design – Skagerak wants to make it easier to simply just pass it on.
“What has become an old classic for one person has the ability to become a Reclassic for someone new”, says Jesper Panduro, owner and CEO of Skagerak.
“It is the same design, the same good quality – but in new a setting and with a renewed value and function. This way, we make sure to get to most out of the valuable resources we have. That’s good for us a society and even better for the world and our climate.”
Reclassic is currently operated from Skagerak’s Flagship store on Indiakaj 2 in Copenhagen, and includes furniture with up to twenty years of experience – all telling unique histories of a former life.
