SKAGERAK – INTERIOR NEWS
Vivlio, Georg, Poly and Bow. New furniture designs and designers have been added to our furniture line this season, and existing collections have been expanded. We look forward to showing you the new duo Halstrøm | Odgaard’s shelf system Vivlio, which we think has great potential. In this versatile shelf system, the units can be turned to face in different directions, and the aesthetic expression can be varied by combining shelves and frame components in different colours. This makes Vivlio a flexible design with the capacity to interact with a wide range of settings, and it is hard not to be won over by its well-balanced expression and functional capacity. Halstrøm | Odgaard are furniture designer Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm and textile artist Margrethe Odgaard, each bringing their individual skill set into the gap between the two fields to create a new platform for design solutions.
Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm has expanded the Georg collection with several strong designs. Georg Dining Table is the biggest and also the one that has been the longest in the making. For how to crack the code for a dining table that will fit into most homes with a size that is both pragmatic and realistic? The result is a stringent dining table, medium-length and wide enough to seat two people at the head of the table. The legs have been moved slightly under the tabletop to provide more legroom. Georg Bench is perfect for the table but not a must.
Another new addition to the series is Georg Coat Stand, which leans casually but securely against the wall, ready to take care of jackets on hangers and scarves and bags on the hooks of the legs. Georg Desk borrows its aesthetic from the existing Georg Console Table but is wider and comes with an optional drawer that can be placed on either side. Bar stools in two heights are another addition, designed on the same principle as Georg Stool, but with longer legs and with stabilizing metal in its frame that doubles as a foot rest.
Poly Coat Rack designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt is a new, functional furniture sculpture for your lobby, bedroom or wherever you need more than a simple coat hook. Poly Coat Rack is a practical and sculptural unit, and several Polys can be combined to form a wall installation, if there is room. Our latest newcomer is Bow Table, a small, indispensable folding table that you can pull out in a pinch and use anywhere – indoors and out. Bow was designed by Maximilian Schmahl, who is the first German designer in our collection, and who is currently working on other upcoming Skagerak designs.
Below is a selection of the furniture mentioned here, complete with product information and download links, but do get in touch if you need additional information.
All the best, Vibeke and Jesper Panduro
