Marie Gudme Leth (1895-1997) was a danish craftswoman, who brought us a world of flora and fauna. She made textile printing a respected craft, and was a first mover in her generation of craftsmen. Maybe that is why we still love her works and world of fairytale like landscapes, patterns, beautiful birds and flowers. Her prints and designs are still moden to us here 70 years later.
Until September 11. you can still explore the beautiful universe of Maries Gudme Leths designs at Design Museum Danmark. They are showing a selection of the most beautiful textile prints in a display named Marie Gudme Leth - Pioneer of Print
